Q-Series coming later this year

Aplicom is launching new products, the Q-Series, in the third quarter of 2012 (for selected development partners). Q-series is a new vehicle onboard unit family which has been developed for easy and fast installation and with Bluetooth connection especially for mobile phone user interface. Q-Series provides versatile benefits for end customers and service providers with two different units.

The Q1 is equipped with GPS and GPRS, and the Q0 (QZero) with GPS. QZero collects the data and sends the information via mobile phone. Both units are easy to maintain and to upgrade later with new services and functions. These compact units offer extra advantages for many applications such as insurance telematics or accident reconstruction.

Important application area is a multiservice system for insurance telematics with large potential in passenger cars. With advanced driver behavior algorithms it is also very suitable for light and heavy commercial vehicles.

Q-Series has an Arm 9 processor and a readymade software for tracking and tracing, driver behavior and Bluetooth communication with a mobile phone. Additional features will be added later.
