Aplicom A5 GLX uses both GPS and GLONASS positioning systems to enable precise and rapid tracking worldwide. Aplicom A5 GLX with inbuilt telematics functionality is designed for professional applications where driver performance information and engine data are used with FMS CAN, GPS and GLONASS tracking, driver identification and accurate mileage information. Power management, internal and external event handling and optimised data communications are also supported features. A voice call interface provides an effective and safe way of communicating between the office and the driver.
The A5 GLX uses GPRS and standard protocols to connect readily to any fleet telematics system. Its features are configurable, giving the system designer optimal flexibility to determine all required events and actions in various customer cases. Over the air (OTA) management and Aplicom configuration tools provide a cost-effective way of modifying configurations and updating them locally or over the air. The A5 GLX unit offers an AT/GPRS modem interface for connected devices such as vehicle PCs or PDAs, while simultaneously running the tracking application. An SW interface option for Garmin® navigators (FMI) is also available for the A5 GLX.
Proven firmware, including a real-time multitasking operating system, provides unique features and capabilities, together with superb reliability. The internal battery option offers valuable backup in power break situations. Aplicom A5 products have gone through extensive tests for low and high temperatures, vibration and other environmental conditions in order to withstand the vehicle and other demanding environments.
