On-board unit with Bluetooth connectivity

Aplicom has launched Q-series for selected development partners in the third quarter of 2012. Q-series is an on-board unit family for processing various driving information and simultaneously collecting required data for e.g. insurance telematics. The modular and easily configurable system architecture used provides a high level of reliability and flexibility. Easy installation, launch costs and privacy have been emphasised in the design of the Q-series.

The integrated Bluetooth enables direct communication with a mobile phone user interface. The inbuilt GPS enables trip counters and together with the 3D accelometer very accurate distance calculation. The Q-series has low power consumption and smart power management and its functions are configurable to fit the different needs of the end users. Q-series will be available in the last quarter of 2012 for other Aplicom partners.
