Pocket Mobile, a Swedish company offering mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workforce, and Aplicom, entered into a co-operation to provide fleet management services with the A1 solution to Pocket Mobile PreCom customers.

Aplicom, with its R8 Unit, took part in an annual Balloon Event in Warstein, Germany September. Warsteiner Internationale Montgolfiade (WIM) is the biggest European balloon festival and takes place at the beginning of September. This year was the 21st time the event has taken place. At the festival they let go one hundred balloons at the same time, five of which had an Aplicom R8 Portable Tracking Device inside in order to trace their flight path.

There have been some positive changes to the myGarmin services. It is no longer necessary to obtain the device registration for obtaining the chargeable map update, Lifetime map update or the Garmin 90 day map warranty update.
