Aplicom’s CEO Vesa Helkkula is travelling to Turkey in April 2012 together with Finland’s Prime Minister, Mr. Jyrki Katainen, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade, Mr. Alexander Stubb, and a Finnish Business Delegation.  The aim of the visit is to exchange business ideas, establish new networks and to strengthen the existing relations.

Airbiquity, a global leader in connected vehicle services, has selected Aplicom’s A1 product as an additional integral component for Shell FuelSave Partner, a fuel management solution for European commercial fleet operators.

Pocket Mobile, a Swedish company offering mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workforce, and Aplicom, entered into a co-operation to provide fleet management services with the A1 solution to Pocket Mobile PreCom customers.

Aplicom, with its R8 Unit, took part in an annual Balloon Event in Warstein, Germany September. Warsteiner Internationale Montgolfiade (WIM) is the biggest European balloon festival and takes place at the beginning of September. This year was the 21st time the event has taken place. At the festival they let go one hundred balloons at the same time, five of which had an Aplicom R8 Portable Tracking Device inside in order to trace their flight path.
