As it is the beginning of 2022, let’s see where we stand and what´s up next.
First, I want to thank all our customers, partners, and our team for the excellent work done last year. As is often the case, things got busy. There were various Covid-related issues, a high demand of products, and a global component shortage. Despite these challenges, most telematics companies had a good business year. Aplicom achieved all time high sales volumes for 2021, giving us a great starting position for 2022.
The ongoing global component shortage affects the entire industry. We estimate the next six months to present challenges, after which industry sources estimate a shift towards normalization. Right now, it is important to keep in touch and plan well to make things work.
A rapid transition from 3G to 4G has started, and we are happy to say that Aplicom is on board. During Q1/2022 we will round up our 4G LTE offering so that we have the entire Aplicom range of products available as 4G variants – including 5G compatibility in some cases.
In 2022 we will continue making the use and integrating of Aplicom products easier. Aplicom Silver Cloud device management, for example, makes the deployment and management of the T-Series easier than ever before. And don’t forget about Aplicom Data Service, that delivers data from Aplicom A-Series devices through an easy-to-use REST API.
